After over thirty rewarding years as your trusted tax accountant, I am sharing two important updates. First, I will be retiring, effective January 15, 2025. This decision, while bittersweet, comes as I focus on my health and spend more time with my family. Secondly, I am thrilled to announce that our firm will be merging with Just Accounting, LLC, effective January 15, 2025, combining our strengths to better serve you. 

Over the years, I have been deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty you have shown me and my team. Many of you I’ve had the privilege of knowing for decades—we’ve celebrated life’s joys, navigated challenges, and built strong relationships. As some of you know, I have been managing chronic health issues for the past 18 years. While this journey has brought its challenges, your kindness, understanding, and steadfast support have been a source of strength and motivation. 

Since founding Taxlink in 2000, my vision was to create a space where tax season felt approachable and personalized. Thanks to your referrals and trust, we’ve experienced steady growth and built a talented team of professionals committed to excellence. This merger with Just Accounting represents the next step in that journey, bringing even more expertise and resources to the table. 

What Will Stay the Same: 

●           You will continue to work with the same trusted professionals you’ve known over the years.

●           Our fee structure will remain unchanged.

●           The services you’ve received from us will continue without interruption.

What’s New:

●           You will soon gain access to additional expertise and expanded resources through Just Accounting.

●           Our email addresses will change after the 2024 tax season, but we will keep you informed of any updates.

 We’re excited about the opportunities this partnership will create, including enhanced services and new areas of expertise. Just Accounting, LLC is a small, locally-owned, woman-owned firm on the Northside of Chicago. I have worked with Katy Just and her team over the last couple years to accommodate referrals and changes in services offered. They are passionate about delivering exceptional service, and share our core values of personalized care and professionalism.  I am confident they will be an excellent fit for you and your needs. I am also pleased to share that our entire current staff, Sharon Geiser and Davida Marthenze, will join Just Accounting, ensuring you’ll continue to work with the familiar professionals you trust.

 For now, we will continue to operate out of our current office locations, and our contact information will remain the same. Sharon and Davida will be available beginning Tuesday, January 14, 2025 to help you navigate the portal and other transition-related steps. I remain available until January 31, 2025 by phone appointment, to assist with any questions or concerns you may have.

 As I step into retirement, I do so with immense gratitude. Your trust, support, and the relationships we’ve built have meant more to me than words can express. Though I will miss our annual conversations, I leave knowing you are in excellent hands with Katy and her team.

 Thank you for allowing me the privilege of being part of your lives. I am confident that this new chapter will bring exciting opportunities for all of us. Here’s to a bright future and continued success for you and your families.
